The Annual Awareness and Education Campaign teaches how to stay safe and prevent injuries at the workplace and beyond
Safety at the workplace, at home, or outside is an important issue throughout the year, but it is in June that the National Safety Council, a non-profit organization, emphasizes safety and injury prevention through its annual event, National Safety Month, which takes the form of an awareness and education program.
The theme of this National Safety Month in 2015 is "What I Live For". Reminding people that "everyone is likely to see and experience things in their life" is one of the central notions of this theme, and of the entire program as a whole. The word "see" is so emphasized that it reminds us how precious and important vision is, and how crucial eye protection is in any safety learning program. The fact is that the majority of accidents leading to serious eye injuries or loss of vision could be avoided simply by wearing the right eye protection.
As a leading provider of premium protective eyewear for work, leisure, and everyday life, Wiley X ® Inc. is a strong supporter of National Safety Month and its efforts to "spread the word" about safety and injury prevention. "Wearing certified protection at the workplace is essential to reducing accidents leading to serious eye injuries, or even loss of vision," said Myles Freeman Jr, co-owner of Wiley X. "However, there are a variety of daily activities that can be just as dangerous for vision. Playing sports, riding a motorcycle or ATV, fishing, or gardening are just a few examples. Having the right type of protection, and wearing it consistently, not just occasionally, is the best way to stay safe and prevent eye injuries," added Freeman.
Wiley X offers a complete range of eyewear that meets ANSI-Z87.1 standards (recommended by the American National Standards Institute) for high-velocity and high-mass impacts, and whose protection is validated by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Their patented soft foam removable Facial Cavity™ is one of the main features of the Climate Control collection, setting it apart from other safety eyewear brands. Wiley X models also meet the latest ballistic standard MIL-PRF-32432 (GL). Additionally, a new line of protective eyewear has just been released, Youth Force™, a collection of sports eyewear for young people that meets ASTM F803 standards for sports protection. Each Wiley X model is designed not only for safety but also for comfort, fit, and clear vision, ensuring a positive experience in all daily situations. Wiley X is the only premium eyewear brand that offers this level of protection, regardless of the type of eyewear.
Almost all styles offered by Wiley X feature RX-Ready technology, providing a comfortable and fashionable eye protection option for people who need corrective lenses. Wiley X's advanced RX digital lens technology, DIGIFORCE™, enhances precision and sharpness, providing clear vision across the widest possible field of view.
