IDS ANTI-PANIC Descender

The Id S Anti-Panic by Petzl is an indispensable tool for professionals working in demanding and secure environments. The robustness of the Id S Anti-Panic is reinforced by a stainless steel insert, increasing wear resistance and allowing use with loads up to 250 kg. This descender is also equipped with a locking cam on the mobile side plate, facilitating rope installation while keeping the device connected to the harness. The rope setup is simplified thanks to guiding and indicative markings, while an error indicator trigger reduces the risk of accidents due to incorrect installation.

The ergonomic handle of the Id S Anti-Panic allows the rope to be released and the descent to be comfortably controlled, with two possible modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped braking groove. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the user to easily position themselves at the workstation without having to manipulate the handle or create a stop knot. As soon as the handle is released, the rope is automatically locked in the device, and the automatic return of the handle limits the risk of unintentional snagging.

This descender also allows smooth movement on horizontal or inclined surfaces. Once the rope is locked, it can be taken in without manipulating the handle, thus making a reversible pulley system or allowing short ascents on the rope. The cam can be manipulated to take in slack easily or to belay a lead climber in climbing techniques. Additionally, a screw allows the mobile side plate to be locked to integrate the Id S into rescue kits, and an additional brake can be added for better descent control depending on the load and rope diameter.

Compatible with ropes of diameter 10 mm to 11.5 mm, the Id S Anti-Panic weighs 600 g and is made of aluminum, steel, and polyamide. It complies with EN 341 class A, CE EN 12841 type C, ANSI Z359.4, NFPA 1983 Technical Use, and EAC standards, thus ensuring safe use for professionals.
