Innovation at the service of safety and operational efficiency, the 18 Light Landing Zone Kit from Adventure Lights is a ZL5 marking system designed for demanding professionals. Ideal for airborne operations, marking strategic areas, and securing landing zones, this kit offers a complete solution for managing landing spaces and expeditionary airfields. With its 18 VIPIR™ SMART beacons offering five output colors and remote activation capability, this system ensures flawless visibility and coordination.

The encrypted signal repeaters included in this kit extend communication range, ensuring maximum flexibility and reliability even in the most challenging conditions. The controller and repeaters allow for optimal range and flexibility, even when the line of sight is compromised. The VIPIR™ SMART beacons can be activated manually or remotely, with six remote frequency groups available for various outputs and flashing modes.

The 18 Light Landing Zone Kit also includes adjustable tripod mounts for the repeaters and beacons, Light Shaping Technology™ beacon shrouds, and Powergrip™ battery caps to enhance the beacon battery capacity. The kit comes with a durable NANUK™ case and two accessory pouches, ensuring all components are protected and easily transportable.

Available lighting modes include "Follow Me," continuous, and flash at 48 BPM, with colors such as green, infrared (IR), red, white, and yellow. The system operates in a temperature range of -20 to +65°C, and transmission/reception distances vary by component: the controller can reach up to 500 m, the repeater 400 m to VIPIR and 800 m to another repeater, and over 1.6 km air-to-ground to the first repeater.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to place the controller and repeaters at an elevation of 1 m, and the VIPIR at 40 cm, all in line of sight. The system is waterproof with an IP68 rating for the controller and repeaters, and up to 100 m for the VIPIR. The controller's battery uses four 1.5V alkaline/lithium batteries (AA type), the repeater two 1.5V alkaline/lithium batteries (AA type), and the VIPIR one 3V lithium battery (123A type).
