Helicopter Landing Zone Light Kit System

The 5 Light Helicopter Landing Zone Kit from Adventure Lights is an essential ground marking solution for military and law enforcement professionals. This ZL5 marking system is designed to facilitate airborne operations, offering quick and efficient setup in landing zones or expeditionary airfields. Its robustness and reliability make it indispensable for ensuring the safety of soldiers during maritime or land missions, even in extreme conditions.

Equipped with advanced technologies, this kit includes five VIPIR™ SMART beacons with white and infrared outputs. These beacons can be activated manually or remotely and automatically synchronize thanks to AutoSync™ technology. The controller and repeaters ensure maximum range and flexibility, even in environments where the line of sight is compromised.

The kit's contents are comprehensive and well thought out to meet the needs of professionals. It includes adjustable tripod mounts for the repeaters and beacons, Light Shaping Technology™ beacon shrouds, Powergrip™ battery caps to increase operating time, batteries, user instructions, a durable NANUK™ case, and two accessory pouches.

Available lighting modes include continuous illumination, 48 BPM flash, and 60 BPM flash, with infrared (IR) and white color options. The system operates in a temperature range of -20 to +65°C, ensuring reliable performance in varied conditions.

In terms of transmission and reception distance, the controller and repeaters can cover 400 m to the VIPIR beacons, 800 m to another repeater, and over 1.6 km air-to-ground to the first repeater. The VIPIR beacons have a range of up to 150 m. For optimal performance, it is recommended to place the controller/repeater at an elevation of 1 m in line of sight and the VIPIR beacons at 40 cm in line of sight.

The kit is designed to be waterproof with an IP68 rating for the controller and repeaters, and waterproof up to 100 m for the VIPIR beacons. Power needs are met by AA batteries for the controller and repeaters, and a 3V lithium battery (type 123A) for the VIPIR beacons. With a total weight of 1800 g and high-tech polymer construction, this kit is both lightweight and durable, ready to withstand the rigors of field operations.
